2024 Orthotic Fitter Course

This course program when taken and successfully completed gives you the specific level of education the eligibility requirement as a prerequisite course of study for BOC Orthotic Fitter. You will need to verify that you meet these requirements by submitting proper documentation with your application to BOC. Your ability to fit a patient with an orthotic device is essential to your profession. But providing a device does not guarantee your patients ability to properly use it. Being an orthotic fitter requires you not only fit a device for a patient in a face to face visit, but also effectively educate your patient on how to successfully use what you have provided to improve his/her quality of life and successful outcomes. This course will prepare you as a candidate for certification under the ABC & BOC Certification guidelines as entry level education. You are required to have a significant period of patient care experience to be eligible to take the exam. While education is fundamental to learning your practice skills, the patient care experience you bring to the exam is indispensable.
