Intro to Electrotherapy

This course is designed to provide an understanding of what a supplier should know in providing edectrotherapy devices within their scope of practice.

This course will discuss the following:

• theories of pain
• how electrotherapy works in pain control
• basic TENS purposes
• basic TENS equipment
• how to instruct patients in the proper use of a TENS unit.
• You will learn how to perform functional checking of the unit and routine maintenance.
• You will learn Medicare coverage criteria and billing of TENS units.
